Non-poker profit is sweet

I decided to make some really smart and constructive life decisions at the casino starting last trip. I have a tough time sleeping at Foxwoods(and all casinos really) so I could go to bed and be tired at 6am and I’m up at 10:30 latest. We all know that’s prime time for shitty games so I decided to start using the gym at Pequot in the morning-early afternoon. I feel like I’ve been getting fat because of the lounge and not enough activity in general and it’s nice. Nobody really uses it either. Small but it has enough stuff so it’s fine.

After all that I started to play around 4pm. The 2-5 NL looked blah so I jumped into 1-2 PLO8. Usual crew but it had the super fish from last week who sucked out on me big. He apparently lost a lot but none to me. A nice friend from the big mixed game jumped in and paid me 450 for a business transaction and she has friends who will pay more. Huge possibility of bankroll jump here. Game went smooth so it was ok and I won.

I’ve also decided that sometimes I get the VP urge so I decided between poker sessions I do 50 hands of 5 dollars in 9:6 JoB. I think if you do that you won’t get the urge after a big loss in which you’ll bet truckloads to get even. The 3 sessions went well and I won.

I played 2-5 NL after and nothing of note happened. Won a bit. Poker at Foxwoods is so table dependent since the rake went up, even more so now. Luckily I know some decent targets. Oh and I found out they’re bringing the bad beat back January 1st. No idea what the starting number will be.

Friday it all went to hell. I lost 1060 in 2-5 PLO8. Couldn’t make a hand, but always had hands that were good enough to call and bet with. Crazy Shirley had legit 100% VPIP for at least a limp and she very frequently called 25 no problem. Just couldn’t get it going. When that game broke I played 20-40 heads up OE for 4 hours, then 3 handed for 4 hours. I lost 69 bucks. Never again. Unless the guy is god awful, casino wins in heads up chop games. I’ll razz it only.

It seems like I lost, but if you factor Thursday wins, 450 business transaction, 100 points given to me by casino, 110 win in VP, and the roulette 120 win I’m up a bit. Oh and I also brought two belts because my new trousers are too big
